  • Legal Basis

    According to the Federal Constitution of Austria, nature conservation lies within the competence of the Federal Provinces.  If the Federal Government participates in a project of national importance such as the establishment of a national park, legal competence regulations require that an agreement according to article 15a of the Austrian Federal Constitutional Act (B-VG) be concluded between the Federal Government and the Federal Province concerned.
